Originally from Ohio, Rob Tarbell now resides in Crozet, Virginia, and has spent the better part of his life pursuing, teaching and creating art. Tarbell currently creates and exhibits a variety of artwork, including painting, works on paper, and the porcelain figurative animals, the "Struggles". The Smokes have been shown nationally from New York to San Francisco, and internationally in Korea and China. In 2007, he was awarded a VMFA Fellowship for the smoke on paper work. The February 2008 issue of R-Home Magazine included Rob in the "Ones to Watch" article highlighting 12 "Emerging local artists to collect before it's too late". ...more info

Long time Dallas resident, Marci Crawford Harden, is presenting a continuation of her landscape paintings on canvas and board. Her growth with this body of work is evident not only in her continuing study of the exploration of light, shade and shadow, but also presenting the work in a much larger format than before. These larger paintings have presented a challenge for Harnden in the past but now she has been able to maintain the details and intimacy of what she feels is so important to present to the viewer.
