About And/Or Gallery
And/Or opened in January 2006 and shows emerging and mid-career artists from around the world who work in many mediums, but our emphasis is on new media. We are one of the few spaces in the country that has the equipment and experience to exhibit the most current new media work, and we also have pioneered new methods of archiving and displaying new media artwork. The gallery currently represents ten artists.
Our exhibitions frequently receive press. We have a strong reputation in the art community in Texas and are known by new media curators and artists throughout the world.
Paul Slocum is the owner and director, Keri Oldham is the assistant director, and Lauren Gray is the co-owner and founder.
Slocum's performances, screenings, and exhibitions include Deitch Projects and The New Museum of Contempory Art in New York, the Liverpool Biennial, README 2004 in Denmark, Trasitio MX in Mexico City, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, and in Dallas, Dunn and Brown Contemporary and The Dallas Museum of Art.
