About Fort Worth Contemporary Arts

The Art Galleries at TCU provide an extensive series of exhibitions, lectures, panel discussions, and other public programs. It’s two galleries – Moudy Gallery and Fort Worth Contemporary Arts – allow an opportunity for the university community and general public to engage with a diverse array of creative production. Fort Worth Contemporary Arts was established in 2008 to offer a platform for innovative contemporary art from an international context. Its regular changing exhibition program seeks to reflect significant developments in art and its critical reception. Fort Worth Contemporary Arts also allows TCU students to interact with all aspects of the planning, implementation, and staging of exhibitions within a pedagogical setting. Moudy Gallery is situated within the department building and primarily serves as a teaching gallery hosting a variety of student exhibitions and a select number of exhibitions by professional artists. It is also home to the annual Art in the Metroplex, a juried exhibition of work by artists from the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The Art Galleries at TCU seek to contribute to a research culture through exhibitions, publications, and associated events.
